The sermon on the mount. Afternoon friends. Today i ponder as everyday i ponder. What? You may ask. Picking up my cross. This means different things to different people, BUT it actually means death. Are u prepared to die because you follow Christ and obey Him? Die to your sin, your fleshly desires, your idolatry. Die to the doctrine that you made up? Look at Matthews gospel chapter 7: verses 13 and 14. The narrow way. Jesus clearly says, enter by the narrow gate. Because this gate is narrow and difficult is the way that leads to life, and few will find it. My friends, this is an obvious mention of people who are religious and believe that their doctrine of coming to Jesus through misinformation concerning bible doctrine will gain them access to the kingdom of heaven. They shout, profess to speak in tongues, cast out demons, heal the sick, raise the dead. Yet in verses 21 thru 23 Christ tells them to depart from Him, He does not know them. Reminds of me many professing Christians. No one ever sees them do this. Yet their claims are endless. Listen my friends, all the shouting in the world, all the pretense of raising the Dead, all of the calling people to your church by telling him yeah come on and God loves you as you are, then you bring your sin in with you, And church leaders accept them and their sin. Some preachers and pastors who I may know May disagree with my words yet one only has to examine their deeds and you will see it. Some some teachers some are Deacons I dare not say all but way too many. Millions of followers of certain cultic Christian organizations will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Because of their adding words to the Bible or the word of God. Forming their own opinions they teach just what they personally believe, and not putting it to the test of the scriptures. Everyday I go to war with my flesh and with many thoughts in my mind. What man called natural God calls idolatry. What we may think matters only when we lift it up to the Lord and let his words scrutinize it. Is this easy? I dare say it is probably the hardest thing any of us can do. But I dare say Jesus said that if you don't, you will end up going through the broad gate which leads to destruction or otherwise known as hell for eternity. As you struggle with your flesh remember the Bible does not teach that everyone will be saved it does not teach that many will find the narrow way, it teaches that the broad gate will have many who enter in to it. I dare say that as I write millions and millions of people who think they're Christians and who profess to be, are going to go straight through that broad gate to destruction. Why? Because they do not wish to give up the things they love in this world they're therefore ignoring and putting a hand in the face of our beloved Jesus Christ by denying that what he says in this Sermon on the Mount is correct. Is this you? As the famous John MacArthur the theologian and say it it's about what you practice not what you say. Are you battling everyday with your opinions and where's your desires? If not then you must love the world and the things that are in it and you've made up your own mind that it's your thoughts and Jesus Christ that will get you to heaven. That's absolutely incorrect. My question is how do you rate? Do you meet these standards the Christ himself laid down in the Book of Matthew chapters 5 through 7? You can throw the name of Jesus around all day long sing the most beautiful Christian songs, why you can even practice doing good to others and giving things away and looking after other people, but once again Jesus made it clear what is required and he tells us what will happen. I believe what this word of God says what my Christ said. Our goal should be to seek whatever pleases God. and believe it or not it's right here in the word of God. Do not get caught up in faith in Christ plus something else. Do not get caught up in emotions fake prophecy fake miracles fake speaking in tongues. This would be fraud. Who do you think Christ is talking about when he says it broad is the road that leads to destruction and many there be that find it? Something I failed to mention earlier, is the subject about being alone. I know a little something about that in the Flesh but what about my spirit? Christ teaches that I and or you, must come alone bearing a cross which is giving up the idolatry and sinful things in our life repent and Follow Him. To steal words from a sermon by John MacArthur, where he quoted another man saying these words. the blasphemy of the sanctuary is more awful then the blasphemy of the slum. So get alone with God search his scripture study his words and do not follow every wind and Doctrine Jesus's words are non denominational but they are the truth the life and the only way to the Father which is in heaven. This may not have been a popular thing to say, but my friends it's urgent. You want to follow the narrow way so your name can be written in the Lamb's Book of Life. may God bless your soul Amen.
