I PRAY THE SAME.....

Goodafternoon to most. Maybe goodnight for others. As i live more and more, i begin to realize how dependent on the Lord i have become. I think back on my childhood all the way to Now. How time is so short. If you stay busy it flys, if you are slothful it drags. But regardless...it's gone in a flash. Many people, things ,etc i have gained and lost in life but one thing never left me. It's actually not an it,or a thing but an indwelling.  An indwelling of the Holy Ghost. Look if you will at Psalm 51. David was experiencing a personal collapse under guilt. His prayer was awesome. In vs 8 he said" Make me hear joy and gladness; that the bones that thou hast broken may rejoice." Vs 9...Hide thy face from my sins and blot out all my inquities." Vs 10, Create in me a clean heart, Oh God; and renew a right Spirit in me.  Vs 11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. This is a great example of how a man of contrite spirit knows that his sin has separated him from God. God cannot look upon sin and accept it. It has to be forgiven by repentance first. While Gods Holy Spirit indwells a man when he receives Christ, this shows how when we sin we quench the Spirit of God. David admits that he is broken to the bone. Verses 12-15 David wails on and on about being restored, so he can teach sinners the Lords ways. And he admits they will be converted unto God. He admits to God that Gods free Spirit is needed for all this. Then in verses 16 and 17 david admits that the sacrifices God loves are a broken spirit a broken and contrite heart and david says "Lord, thou will not despise these sacrifices. You must have a contrite broken heart in order to repent. The Holy Ghost is the person that leads you to this point. If your lost and do not regard God, and love your sin, i pray for your brokenness. So hopefully you will cry out to God as you repent. If your back slid,  i pray the same. AMEN!
