For anyone who thinks or wonders why it is important to ask a nominee for any postion in government certain questions.What the office they are seeking is doing now,is vitaly important. We need to know how that person feels about the things the department is doing now.One only has to read the constitution of the united states,and its bill of rights,and all its amendments.We all,need to care. We all need to be imformed about issues,and make up your own minds,then vote right.Do not accept talking heads in the media,because they are not there to report the news. They are there to form public opinion. Your opinion.I cannot count how many times i took the medias version of a situation,just to discover later that it was a jump to conclusion report,then i jumped to conclusion as well.The right to do any of this,is clearly written in the constitution.That my friends is what makes the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,the great country it is.We as a nation have such a great constitution,and the men that wrote it,were believers in judea christian principles.For any that say any different,are wrong. America is indeed free,free to keep us protected by God's principles,by writing laws or amendments. By the same token we can pass laws that destroy our core beliefs from the beginning.An example....was the words of Ronald Reagan,"The constitution was never meant to prevent people FROM praying;its declared purpose was to protect their freedom to pray." So we must be careful how we elect people who have either changed our governments values,or propose to change them.The constitution cannot protect us ,unless we protect the constitution.- Thomas Sowell
