INSULTING THE LORD.(don't count your friends)

The Bible clearly tells us in 2nd Samuel chapter 24. that we and our leaders can insult God. How,by being so caught up in our own strenghth we forget who actually gave it to us.King David actually was tempted by Satan himself to count the number of his men.The men under Davids rule questioned David about why he delighted in doing this.But David made them do it anyway. And they did.Then The Lord gave King David a choice of Punishment.David said lets turn our selves over to the Lord because his mercies are great.Then the Lord sent a pestilence in the land of Israel and seventy thousand men died.When the angel stretched forth his hand upon Jerusalem to destoy it,the LORD repented him of the evil,and said to the angel "IT IS ENOUGH: stay now thine hand. This is the Lord i love.He can be insulted when we take matters in our own hands. Time after time in my life he has caused me victory over enemies in my life.Victory's over seemingly impossible odds.He never said go count your friends. He just took care of the issue his way.Read this 24th chapter of 2nd samuel. It will encourage you.
