Good early morning. I've had a few powernaps and i am back up.Lets look at 1st John chapter 3 verse 17. BUT WHOSO HATH THIS WORLD'D GOOD,
And seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
Very interesting topic. Verse 18 telld us to not love in word or just deed, but love in truth. This is pleasing to God. If we do this and please God, we can ask of God and receive. What if we have tried with our brethren and things they have done with us as well as to others is dishonest?
I believe we have a duty to confront. If you are not received well, then if you are prayed up, then you wipe the dust off your feet and move along. God will lead you back to an opportunity to serve Him. It's in His hands. I recently have seen Pastors that are carrying many years of bitterness as baggage. Rehashing old battles with previous churches they Pastored. They do not realize that it shows.Or that it effects there performance today. You see,the pew packers are not blind, they see the lack of the moving of the Holy Spirit. I know this lesson is about Christians with money helping those with none.
But look at this...a teacher in obvious pain spiritually and physically pouring out his heart to a class of 6 to seven people. Tells them he is wrestling with God and God with him. They[ the class] know his spouse that loves dearly, and is committed to, just sneaked out and left him because ..
She says they are not compatible. Wow! Now the leadership is listening and they are complicit with the teachers problems. At this point, during his lesson, the Holy Spirit was moving in him and a move to the alter to pray together in real sincerity was in order. The Holy Spirit opened that door. This teacher said he knew this ahead of time.Yet No one made a move. Why? Well because in this very small flock who for yrs has struggled to stay a float, has not resched the point of humility it takes to summons the Holy Spirit. Also when confronted with the issues at hand the bitter leadership became belligerent. It takes guts to speak of this. Most would not. We as followers of Christ have to be honest about our love for each other. This teacher has now moved on, but he says his heart does not condemn him, besides God in verse 20 of this chapter is greater than our hearts. This teacher learned to love these folks and its clearly not rreciprocal. But he is looking forward to his next assignment. He's not going to waste any time looking backwards so he says. A bit of advice though jealousy and carrying around past bitterness and trying to lead a church is not a good thing. Many years ago these issue should have been settled. But as a little footnote these leaders beat up the messenger. Never realized that's what he was. God bless him now let's help this fella encourage this Feller to move on God bless.
