January 1st 1790---John Wesley: I am now an old man,decayed from head to foot.My eyes are dim;my right hand shakes much;my mouth is hot and dry every morning;I have lingering fever almost every day;my motion is weak and slow.However,blessed be God,i do not slack my labor:I can preach and write still. Pretty much speaks for itself.Thank God for men like Wesley who carried on the Gospil,spoke the truth about the mercy of Christ,and gave insight to how to raise children. He also spoke the truth about what atheistic creatures we are at birth.And just think.....there are those that say man is born religious! They are correct,our religion is the belief in only ourselves.Until we have that damascus road experience,where Jesus speaks to us through his Holy Spirit.What we do with that will break thru racism,hate,the way we teach our children,the way our mind thinks.And even at our best,that is not good enough,only when we pass over to eternity can we be perfect.Be faithful to the preaching and spreading of the Gospil.
